A Conversation on Law Schools Teaching Law as a Liberal Art

This week I participated in a discussion on legal education debating whether the curriculum should reflect more of the liberal arts.

My personal view is that the liberal arts are an essential aspect of a modern law school. To teach law without the philosophy, politics and history that shapes it is not to teach law at all.
